Disabled man Justin Skeesuck recently decided he wanted to complete the 500-mile El Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, or the Way of St James as it’s more commonly known in English. He knew he didn’t want to tackle the trek alone, so he asked childhood friend Patrick Gray to join him along the way.

Justin lives with a progressive auto-immune disease, and is wheelchair bound due to losing the use of his limbs. Despite this, his illness hasn’t prevented him from attempting his dreams. “Just because you have your own limitations doesn’t mean we can’t do things,” said Justin, “Patrick is my best friend and when I told him what I wanted to do he just instantly said… and I’ll push you.”
