STORY: North Korea's state-run television KRT on Monday (June 30) released still photos of leader, Kim Jong Un watching rocket firing drills.

KRT said Kim guided the tactical rocket firing drills, which were carried out by the Korean People's Army (KPA) Strategic Force.

KRT did not specify the date or location of the drills.

On Sunday (June 29), South Korea's military said that the North fired two short-range ballistic missiles into seas to the east of its coast, violating a UN ban on the isolated state from testing such weapons.

The test firings on Sunday came three days after the North launched three short-range projectiles off its east coast, which flew about 190 km (120 miles) and landed in the sea.
