A couple in Upland, California is living with a nanny they fired three weeks ago. Marcella and Ralph Bracamonte say the nanny isn’t welcome but she allegedly refuses to leave.

Back in March, Marcella placed an ad on Craigslist, which offered room and board in exchange for the care of her children. 64-year-old Dianne Stretton was chosen for the job.

Everything was great initially, but shorty after she moved in, things went south. According to Ralph, Stretton stopped taking care of the kids and only came out of her room when it was time to eat.

The couple decided to fire Stretton, but she isn’t keen on departing. The Bracamontes called police, served legal papers and even put a bicycle lock on their fridge to prompt her to leave.

Stretton is threatening is sue the family for ‘wrongful firing and elder abuse.’. The Bracamontes ran a background check on Stretton, but they didn’t find out she’s been involved in over 35 lawsuits until it was too late.

Marcella remarked “You don’t know what you’re opening yourself up to when you open your house to someone.”
