Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s core committee decided on Wednesday to launch a protest movement against the federal government. The core committee also considered resigning from the assemblies as protest.
The core committee also formed a committee to oversee the rehabilitation of North Waziristan operation Zarb-e-Azb affectees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). It was decided to begin the fundraising campaign for the IDPs under the banner of Imran Khan Foundation. A two member coordination committee was formed in this regard.
PTI’s core committee ruled out the possibility of joining any ‘grand alliance’ against the government.
Reportedly, the core committee left the final decisions on their chief Imran Khan who is due to make announcements in this regard on his Bahawalpur rally on June 27.
