Hal Caufield - Lancelot to Guinevere

2014-06-24 28

Believe thee not shame upon our love.
Believe thee not disgrace upon our kiss.
There is honor in our hearts endowed above.
There is nobility in our lips’ blessed bliss.
Remorse has no place in thy sacred breast.
Our bodies, as our hearts, were ordain,
To entwine, writhe, soothe, fall and crest,
Consummating love without beguiled refrain.
Allow thee not the crush of life by past mistakes.
Let not thy heart’s kindness cause our lives wreck.
Life is dream, too short for sorrows before the wake.
Let not thy vows be chains round thy precious neck.
Leave behind thy Arthurian torment for sake of time.
Thy body consecrated in my arms, be forever mine.
