Lee B. Mack - Sunlight Still Life Improvisation 10 27 2009

Sunlight still-life and its rays
Displace chalices and crooks for Kings
Ankh revered in motion as the
Pendulum that swings one end
Head and neck dressed bowtie –legs
Sweep the ground in a sling
We were lit up to set off together
Walking through thick jungle before
We hit edges of clear planes laid
Low by the pruning of elephants
And the grooming by seasonal rains
Roving sacrifice grounds of sanguinity
Settling cities of temple spires toiling
Between fields of new berries -fording
Bands of thieves near castles of Silo
Human and called by name to venture
Destined for the carnival the circus for
Fun -for the night mares to ride bareback
Through a dream -a white forelock blowing
Into faces of whiskers shoulders and necks stiff
Steel grip capable carnivore hands hold for
Dear life at the buckle and stumble from equine
Knees but gather to find the gallop again in
Strides to break falls –she braved to carry
Destiny where bed and home
Are prepared and dressed as stalls.
