STORY: Russian President Vladimir Putin led a memorial ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin Wall on Sunday (June 22), laying a wreath in memory of World War II victims.

The ceremony marked the 73rd anniversary of the Nazi troops invasion of the Soviet Union.

Putin was joined by Russia's other highest officials, including Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu.
