Hello is just a simple word
Brings a smile to one’s face
When ever it is heard
It is multi lingual where ever you may go
To hear the magic sound of that little word hello
A friendly little greeting
Used almost every day
We use it with strangers
And friends so far away
Listen to the tone of it
You will know if it is meant
From that grumpy old gentleman
To that sarcastic little git
It has no hidden secrets
Its says just what it means
So the next time you hear hello
You will know what this poem means
Till our next hello goodbye
