I am hoarse, stupid and have fear
that you do not look past
the tears
and see how it looks
deep in my heart
and do not comprehend
or really know
that I am building
my life around you
and that what are between us
are unmade
by circumstances,
the passing of life
and what other people
say to you
while I just
want to love you more.
