Vera Sidhwa - Smile and Slap

2014-06-18 1

When I smiled at you, you slapped me.
I wondered at you, what a way to be.
I never knew that this could be.
And in me I wanted to slap you too.

However, it seemed that the ravaged,
Warrior had slaps inside of him too.
A plethora of insults fuming in you too.
But you took it out on me.

It seems to me that if I slapped you back.
There may be in my wisdom a lot to lack.
It would seem in my wisdom, I would be on the wrong track.
But I didn't care either way.

What I wanted to tell him, I rather not say.
