Where are you
Where are you
Can you let us know the time of your arrival
Dear Miracle Workers
Where are you
We, us, know you can't bother to help until you at least try
You know where we stay
off the coast of Australia
our home of Tasmania
Yes, we fight and bite
but it's how we survive
Can you honestly blame us
for the spread of cancer in our societies
A complex language with complex actions
could you really relate
Please don't leave us like this
Even though we're of different species
than you
will you please do your best to save us from extinction
All we want is your
protection, promises, honesty
something, something more than this
more than we...
all we want is to be set free
free from the curse laid across our pride
across our teeth
We're not like you
we're a dying breed, a dying breed
stretching out for love
reaching out for sympathy
looking for hope towards the everchanging midnight skies
praying for actions from the
million colors of a million eyes
Please help us survive
