Staring out the window, numbness fills my soul
Emptiness is my companion, it never leaves me alone
Sadness overwhelms the mind, never will you be whole
Paralyzed, motionless, my body weighted, lying down prone
Faith wanes, hope gone, love vanished, crushing my heart
Then one day, God blesses me, lovingly, graciously, she's now my life
My Angel from God, my only true love, I knew you from the start
The One I prayed for came to me, she freed me, my lover, my wife
In perfect bliss, she's lovely, caring, wonderful, she fills everyday with joy
But then all my world is shattered, all my hopes and dreams, the only One is gone
Her haunting beauty, the touch of her hand, the smile she gave me, never to enjoy
My world is empty, my heart is crushed, my soul is barren, I'll never see the dawn
