Lost, confused and dazed
Clouded, misty dew drop hazed
Memories of regrets cascade
Moments of joy degrade and abrade
Finally the sun has bedded away
The velvet cloak of darkness here to stay
Slight of hand a cruel joke revealed
Subjected to immemorial pain annealed
Fingers bent, stabbing at the night
So dark it is luminescently bright
Stammering steps so blindly taken
For my night is endless and god forsaken
Razor blades of time slicing away at life
Crimson drops claw the blade of the knife
Smooth skin now cracked and creviced
Stripped my black to silvery white menaced
Clanking irons of age weighing me down
Ripping away flesh leaving Antigone
Knees bent gasping for some air
Away is my youth without a tear
Living as the eccentric recluse
Reclined and resigned abstruse
Blinded I see beyond my years
Streaming away with forgotten tears
Silent and mournfully reminiscent
Braving the change acquiescent
Gracefully watching the moon succumb
As yet another day has just begun….
