Stephen Cahill Furlong - College Girl

I'm unsure whether you're aware of this or not,
But you, college girl, are the face of all my dreams.
Destiny has adamantly chosen us
To join together hand-in-hand it seems.

I secretly fell for you from minute one
As you were the mirror of someone I adored very much.
That included hair, eyes, nose,
Good attitude, natural beauty and such.

I'm confused however as to how you think of me:
You're social to me in person but unfollowed me on Twitter?
Not something to be expected by a belle
With sparkling lips and eyes that glitter.

I like the way you laugh at some of my comical jokes,
And though I may not be the babe like Johnny Sexton,
There was no need to laugh in my face that day
After I'd asked a plain and serious question.

I heard what you talked about outside Pavilion Bar.
Like Ross though, I too could pull the charm.
But he left and purged you out of the picture;
If you came to me, you'd suffer no such harm.

Fiona didn't say you and I were similar for the hell of it.
Think of our personal situations
And know that fate wants us to be together.
You could never know what you're missing without me.
With an open mind, we could become tight as leather.

I am happy you were the first college girl to hug me,
But moments later, you showed me one of my biggest fears
When you had the audacity to play the lip-game with Darragh,
That of which almost had me in tears.

Know that these things don't turn my back on you
For I don't know whether it's love or lust.
You should know that Tall Bus Girl doesn't come above you
Because our decision to give us a try is an absolute must.

I can't help but admire everything about your being
From your hair to your shoe.
But do I mean anything at all to you, college girl?
And why do you think I wanted to go for drinks with you?
