Lonely and aimlessly in the vacuum
Of time I look for the gap,
between land and sea.
Amidst water and sowing sound
I hear the wailing of the folded days.
The smell of the fathomless sea, of moss
weed, whales and fish get on my nerves.
Alone with my fevered brain, I count
My countless days, a sojourn thus
Turns voyage as atrocious as your love,
Which I never gained but you enacted
The drama of gifting me!
Lone words swim in the lone marine water
without bubbles pushing me to the shore!
The combustible heat of the sun,
and the mellowed ray of the moon
play ragas Dipak and Malhar!
The ships like seeds float on the
water, never to be anchored.
At night their flickering lights
haunt me as the bridge to another world.
The sky both of day and night,
Writes Billet-doux for an unrequited love.
Allures me of never-get-it space.
But, I'm a tiny boat,
I can't float in the turbulent sea,
neither swim, nor dream,
or drown myself,
until I'm destined to……
