meggan o reilly - Mystery Bruises

2014-06-17 8

Black and blue,
On a white winters canvas,
Easily seen even when the determination to cover up tries to dominate.
It reminds me of a pencil mark that did not quite erase effectively,
A mistake?
They lie.
Or 'I don't know how that happened ' reply
The comforting of the epidermis-
It has a new friend,
Yet be cautious it is fragile and sensitive.
Like the delicate bubble wrap,
Smooth then a bump,
Or like a mountain peak.
In time it will fade,
Though the depth of its effect is unknown,
Like a sleepy volcano.
