Manoj Kyan - The Dear Departed

2014-06-17 7

With hands clasped together, the dear departed!
Oh! What a scene, it was rubbles all over them.
Oh! What a scene, it was rubbles in between them.
But, that didn't make their love rubble.
For all that rubble couldn't bury their love!

All the time, you nursed him Mother,
Its no wonder, you wanted a painless death (for him) .
Oh! You never let the big boys bully him,
Alas! You couldn't help the bad boys from harming him.
What words you spoke before he entered heaven?
The same words you uttered before his first day school?
What did you sing to him last?
The same melodies you sang him first?

All the time, you were with her,
From womb to tomb, twined in to her.
Saviour! Were you hers, or was she yours?
Nothing but your presence fueled her lamp,
Your smiles, your acts, were the ones that fed her.
You love him, Mother. You love her, Son.
Together in birth, Together in death.
With hands clasped together the dear departed!
