It's strange to think that one moment you're young,
And the next you're wrinkled, your song unsung.
Precious moments fly by at a blink,
And realising the life you've wasted, you just sink.
The fact that events of yesterday are a mere memory
They were years ago, no decades, seems eerie.
Thoughts of girls you fancied and oft a boy, all deceased,
Off to meet their maker, but you'll be soon to the priest.
Point is today is last year, and last year is never,
Enjoy everyday, cherish the memories, be clever.
