The Stones getting no satisfaction,
and The Who talking about their generation
the Beatles are in a Yellow Submarine.
Us kids with our wooden rattles,
clicking them along to the tunes on the Tannoy
great fun before the teams came out.
Records remind you of where you were
good and bad times come flooding back,
that one was during our relegation season.
Others can bring a smile to your face
when I heard that record come on
it took me back to when we won the Cup.
Football and music go hand in hand
every club likes to take a pop song
and put in their own words.
Singing brings the fans together
players listen to sounds before a match
stadiums are venues for Rock concerts.
You hear songs being sung in bars,
every club has their very own Anthem
unique only to that particular team.
But the best sounds come from the terraces
the greatest choirs will be found there
Football fans can really sing a tune.
So yes Football and music go together
just go along to a game and listen,
but even better why not sing along!
