On grey and rainy days such as these
thoughts of her keep the spirits high on
honeyed day dream mead
heaven's soft potent drug
the light she gives is gained in sweat
she is the symbol of man's labor
peace love and his stress
brightest star in the sky
when found by seeking eyes
she appears before the night
out shining all the rest
