As I sit here
All alone
Listening to music
Thinking about
What the next chapter
Is in this life
I’m scared to know
But I know that
Everything will be alright
I know this because
I have survived many things
I know that I am not invincible
The lives and experiences
Have turned out okay
Everything that happens to me
Happens for a reason
No matter how tragic and weird
It may seem to me
For this life
I will do what I promise
I will not let anything stop me
For doing what’s right to me
I will die if that’s where it leads
Me too
Everything I have left
Will be what I give
And I say this once
“With or without someone by
My side I will accomplish
What I feel and see fits
Happen and happens right”
I will not be forced
And I will not allow
People to put me down
My life
Is mine to live
And I will live it
The way I want too
And this is how
I want to live
