Binoy Barman - Dawn

2014-06-16 7

Just a while ago a black cow gave birth to a white calf
Dawn, smooth, soft and balmy
Smile of child bloom in dewdrops
Leaves and grass bathe in the shower
of shadow and light
Rooster-crow spoils the last dream-scene
Drifts on water feathers of goose
Feel gloomy giddy chilly
Blurred scene in cataract eyes
Fog leaping from the stair of air
Runs barefoot to graveyard
And prays for the warmth of shivering ghosts
Ripples of river prepare for works of a new day
Beyond mountain opening eyes of elegant ray

Binoy Barman
