A hot a sultry day it was,
Tired and exhausted here I was,
Standing on the shore across,
A gentle stroke of wind (Zephyr) takes a bypass.
Kisses my cheeks gently,
Energizes me instantly,
Felt like a touch most heavenly,
Washes away my stress miraculously.
This gentle stroke lifted my spirits
Energized me that very minute,
A tired and dull day suddenly rose,
For me to lookup and strike my best pose.
Moments sometime very stressful,
Life comes to a halt – very painful,
Hope seems remote, with no one to support,
An invisible entity showers you with comfort.
First born in a family,
My birth cause for ecstasy,
I was the Zephyr welcomed dearly,
Hope to continue to be one eternally.
Bringing joy to my parents as a infant,
Antics and actions constant
Giggles too pleasant,
I was their Zephyr, God sent.
Child I grow to be adored by all,
Perfect behavior, never missed a call,
Proud parents – I was their doll
Got past this phase will no major fall.
Teenage comes in full speed,
Fun and frolic and joy indeed,
I was always the Zephyr among my breed,
Giving hope to a friend in need.
Adulthood a new ball game,
Maturity with diplomacy to sustain,
Personal and Professional balance – a tough claim,
Balance I did – a perfect frame.
Mid Age creeps in slowly and steadily,
Forty and etching to fifty,
Responsibilities completed diligently,
As a parent and friend this Zephyr retires peacefully,
Old Age come in swaying with grace,
Silver mane, wrinkles and eyesight shadowed with a haze,
A helping hand, always at ease,
Grand mother I am, a Zephyr in the family maze.
Zephyr last a few seconds,
Give relief in an instant,
Always around and fragrant,
Spreading love and affection, truly rampant.
