This is for you as you get in your car.
As you drive to the North and you follow that star.
I wished for the tide to come carry me away,
but it left me there standing, both feet in the clay.
I listened intently, I followed your stare.
You'd caught me off-guard and I'd started to care.
I begged you to love me, to stop and to stay,
you said, 'Babe I did love you, but we've lost our way! '.
So here I now stand, and it looks like you're right,
you are a dark prince and you did steal my light.
The funny thing is we are two of a kind.
Though you couldn't see that with your superior mind.
So you sail to the North and I'll take the East,
together we'll wine and we'll dine and we'll feast.
When I meet my maker on judgement day,
then I'll see you in hell when you can't walk away.
