Microscopic image
forgotten and neglected
pushed to the side.
Left in the drawer like a broken pencil.
I fit the description
of pain and depression.
Just tryin' to find my place in this world.
But I can't find it,
so lost and confused.
What can I do?
Move on and forget
where I came from,
but it's so hard.
People hangin' to me tight,
can't kick 'em loose
won't let me go.
Impossible to forget
the place I was born
life by the ghetto
I'm a sharpie not an eraser
can't forget the way I was raised
in the center of this turmoil,
the place we call the world.
Growin' up fighting for survival.
I won't forget.
