I like to watch how is he with others
but sometimes he's different with me
oh sure he can play rough
but at times he handles me so tenderly
it is that which disarms my defenses
and stops me in my tracks
when I am the least prepared
he swoops in
he is highly skilled at that
but anything can be learned
maybe he will teach me too
if I can follow long enough
without tripping
maybe learn how to do it too
I like to watch how he is with others
feels much safer than
how he is with me
from a distance there is room for escape
and space for objectivity
