Butterflies fluttering
Across a sunset sky,
The soft velvety wings
Stroking across the subtle breeze.
A small fireplace,
Glowing a dull red-orange,
Hints of gold glittering in the air,
Heat protruding from its heart.
A window shattered by a nail,
The thousands of pieces scattered,
Each with sharp edges that
Could cut the coarsest skin.
