I watch the men
As they carry the body
That I will behold
For years to come.
I watch the men
Lift the fragile body
Of the little boy
With the pallid face.
I watch the men
As they enclose the body
Inside me forever
And seal me closed tight.
I watch the men
As they engrave into me
Three little letters
And lower me down.
I watch the boy
His body lay limp
And he does not breathe
And does not move.
If I only had eyes,
I would cry.
