Her voice struck a nerve
Left exposed
And vulnerable
By recent health concerns.
She sounded so amazingly
Strong and steady;
It warmed my heart.
A sigh of relief
Escaped me as I began
Breathing easy again
From lungs
Constricted in fear and
I heard myself whisper,
“She is well...
Thank God she is well.”
