Comfort Ndlovu - The days of reckoning

2014-06-16 0

In the middle of the park
a dog suddenly ceased to bark
and I stood there still to wonder
how it was silenced by thunder
But I did not fear
nor shed a tiny tear
for I already knew what it meant
for, in all my days on this earth spent
I've seen sin and its end -
the strong arms of justice never bend.
It came to me as a fresh warning:
surely the days of reckoning are coming,
So, each man must stand for himself
For none will account for his sayings and sins - but only himself.
