Slowly defeat creep unto our porch
And slavery approaches us unseen
Slowly our dignity leaves us unnoticed
And aliens seize our weapons
Numbness struck the people
And the brave ones are falling gradually
The guardians are weakened in the fight
But the hypocrisy of the tribes reinforces them
In unity you people shall stand
But fear places them apart
And they look on helplessly
As vultures devour them in turn
The voice of many echoes afar
But a lone man cries unheard in the desert
And death awaits in his path
But as we seek survival;
And cry for a change
Let the voice of Africa be one
And let poverty depart in peace.
