Simon Bridges - A Grand Masquerade

2014-06-16 1

It must be so,
that I am pupating
albeit without the privacy of a cocoon,
maturing in full view,
silently shedding skin that thins
and softens throughout the years,
it must be so
to ease my emergence.

It must be so,
that I shall outgrow my body
because of mortal limitations,
extending beyond physical
leaving the chrysalis of mortality
I shall emerge to bloom unseen,
it must be so
to ease my mind.

It must be so,
that I shall be reborn
but will not recognise myself in flesh
manifesting experience,
for that which I choose to be
is all that I am,
it must be so
to flourish and grow.
It must be so, so it shall be.
