An apple, green behind the ears
had watched so many of his peers
leave home by falling to the ground
thus he (who weighed more than a pound)
decided to dropp off his twig
not knowing though about the pig
who, keeping fit had stopped beneath
and caught the apple with his teeth.
Then, on the way to the interior
(and later on to the posterior)
he said I never should have done....
but then it dawned on him. The pun.
