This time of year is so hard
Without you are here with me
My heart putting up a guard
Not allowing anyone in
While everyone is giving Thanks
While I try to hold back tears
As I always do this time of year
It's time of year for family
And it's your Birthday too
I sing a silent Birthday song
Special from me to you
Trying to celebrate Thanksgiving
And it's your 51st Birthday
Through my tears and heartbreak
It's the hardest thing I do
Coming to a end and tryong to begin a new
It is very hard daddy without you
I try to give thanks for all the time we had
But I am selfish and it makes me mad
That you went away
While I was begging for one more day
I know that you will be having
The greatest Thanksgiving and Birthday
Wrapped in God's powerful hands
While angels sing to a beautiful band
So Happy Thanksgiving and Birthday too
I am counting the days
I will be celebrating again with you
