Marcquiese Burrell - I Say A Little Prayer For Us

2014-06-15 17

Each morning I woke up
The world around me has me shookup
while watching the TV
I wonder what horror lies before me
I say a little prayer for us

I walk the streets in fear
Thinking of the changes over the years
Rapings, Robings, killings
How could people be so unfeeling?
I say a little prayer for us

All around me there's babies having babies
One parent households who struggle to make ends meat
Homelessness and animal cruelty
young girls prostitute to fill the hole in their heart and
Young boys selling drugs on the corner of each street
Insensitive comments made towards different races, religion, sexuality, where's the equality? Countries are at war and most face poverty, mortality, and even morbidity
Does anyone care beyond the problems that they face?
Why is this world so full of hate?
I say a little prayer for us
