ederal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Sunday that the military operation against terrorists will continue until their ‘destined end’ arrives. He said that our schools, bazaars, mosques and churches have become unsafe, adding that the decision of military operation against terrorists is backed by the whole nation, Dunya News reported.
Talking exclusively to Dunya News, Asif said while telling the details about operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb,’ literally the ‘sharp strike’ that the decisive war against terrorists has begun. He said that the decision has been taken after considering all aspects.
Defence Minister said that the Pakistan Army has achieved success in the past 24 hours. He said that the decision of military operation is need of the hour and that the government has taken the decision after thorough consideration.
“We’ll fight the decisive war against the terrorists,” he said. “The operation will continue until terrorists are eliminated. The army will fight the enemy bravely.”
Pakistan Army on Sunday launched a comprehensive operation against foreign and local terrorists upon direction of the government. The operation has been named ‘Zarb-e-Azb’, literally ‘sharp strike/sharp cutting’ and will target the terrorist hideouts in North Waziristan, Dunya News reported citing ISPR sources.
The operation name ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ means ‘sharp strike/sharp cutting.’ Azb is also the name of sword used by Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) in one of the battles.
