PAULETTE SEDGWICK - Mothers Nature

2014-06-15 17

Clean water splashing against the mountain rocky face
Transparent, bluey jade ocean working hard
Sending it's powerful waves forwards and back, again and again
A warm summer breeze gently glides over my body and face
Threw my long brunette hair
For a few seconds, it blows every where...
The golden sandy beach is lovely and warm
Under my tiny feet It goes between my toes
As i kneel down to pick up a few shells and stones...

Later i climb the rocky mountain
Nearly reaching the clear blue sky
One by one people have gone, leaving me alone to enjoy the breath taking scenery
Whilst inhaling unpolluted fresh air...

I sit on the grassy mountain top
Slurp a can of Fizzy Pop
Dangle my tiny legs over the mountain edge
Alone...but feeling safe.
I look over the peaceful ocean whilst looking at the dramatic summer evening sky
The odd JJ aircraft flying over very high in the sky,
Whilst the odd puffy white cloud slowly floats by...

Slowly the sun starts to drop
Putting on a dramatic magical show
Terra-cottas, Reds, Oranges, Yellows, Purples and rustic Browns
The sun now like a massive ball of fire
As it slowly melts into the ocean and ground...

Now its dark... Miss Sun swops shifts with Mr Moon
As he switches on his light
All the tiny diamond stars twinkle extremely bright
Just enough for me to stand ready to go home...

I say 'Good Night',
