These rainy days
Are ours forever,
Bearing down
Thoughts of Never.
Never do this,
And never do that
We follow these rules
Laid out on the mat.
But on rainy days
Such as these,
Filled with anger
Hate and greed.
I ask myself,
And you as well
If all these rules
Are why we fell.
Why we fell
So far and deep
Why we’ve lost
The chance to leap.
Why we feel
So far from home
Why when surrounded,
We feel alone.
These rainy days
Full of thoughts of Never
These rainy days
Shall last forever.
Regrets should be
Left in the past,
Where they will stay
And where they'll last.
The future should
Be left to fate
Left for us
To ponder and wait.
The present is
Where we should live,
When we should love
When we should give.
When we should hope,
And feels as we seem;
And when we should live,
To follow our dreams.
