With the dead of Millstreet he will forever lay
His remains interred by Cashman's hill today
A character and one loved far and wide
Far beyond Cloghoula his home countryside
As genial a character as one could wish to meet
Tim Twomey he will be missed from Millstreet
We all grow old as from the scene we do fade
But in his long life so many friends he made
The praises of Tim Twomey ought to be sung
In Millstreet he was loved by old and by young
He may now be numbered amongst the dead
But at his passing tears for him were shed
In death from pain he has found his release
And in old St Mary's he is now at peace.
