Selected and extended sympathies,
Are often given to those liked.
But not necessarily to those,
With a track record of accomplishing deeds.
Often those awarded such attention,
Have time to socialize.
And with an importance to be seen,
They become idolized in others' eyes.
I think of those who have made,
Sacrificed contributions.
Rarely are they given the time of day or mentioned.
Although there are those who have benefitted.
In a way their lives have been uplifted.
But there is a purpose in life for everything that is done.
What one needs to feel accepted and pleased...
May be what another one,
Stays away from to avoid that kind of activity to welcome.
Who knows what satisfies?
And why some opinionated always find time to criticize?
'So what are you saying? '

I'm making attempts to mind my own business.~
'Oh?
I thought I heard a critical observation made.'
~Why are you all up in my grill?
Don't you know the difference between,
Someone talking to themselves?
And another,
Having a conversation with someone...
Who should be ignoring their every word?
You've done that to me before.~
'Huh? '
