WE TOOK MEASURES
INTO OUR OWN HANDS:
We took measures into our own
Hands rather than taking into
Account the cups of love in our
Embrace -and when measures
Dissatisfy symmetries of tastes
When the God and human being
Take no name in this equation
We'll desire no need of factoring
The persistence of time into day
Pasts remembered and uncertain
Futures we hoped for and obey.
