so I always know what to say
I hope God hears me speak
because peace is what I seek
I hope God shows me how to cope
so I don't give up the hope
I hope God will stay with me
so I know what I am to be
I hope God will show me how to stand
and always be with me to hold my hand
I hope God will show me the way
so I won't give up in my day
I hope God will be patient with me
so the comfort I will see
I hope God will show me how not to hide
and always be with me by my side
I hope God will show me how to start
so I carry him in my heart
I hope God will keep me from harms
and be there to hold out his arms
I hope God will show me the love
so I will see the peace of the dove
I hope God will show me the lead
so I will find out my need
I hope God will show me how to turn
because I have so much to learn
