After all this time, I still do.
But now we’ve grown far apart, cold
I reach out and find no hand to hold.
Once you promised me forever
In the midst of this cruel storm.
No lies, till death do us part
You said you’d keep me safe from harm.
That you’d protect me, like you swore
That oath is now dead, severed
‘Cause you’re beside me no more
Left me reeling, my heart broken.
We’ve been through the darkest of times
But I’m hurt more all the while.
Seeing that you don’t care at all
Makes stronger this bitter resolve.
Told you that I’ve always loved you
Don’t know anymore if it’s still true.
‘Cause the present’s making me doubt
If I should stay – or leave right now.
