Who turn their backs to He who lives
Exist in deep despair
Refusing wisdom Jesus gives
To die with no one there
No one to hear us when we pray
No one to show us grace
No one to stand on judgment day
Pleading to God our case
How foolish must a person be?
How ignorant or blind?
The truth from God they’ll fail to see
To follow their own mind
Creation to the eye is plain
God’s handwork’s clear in view
Was Jesus’ death for us in vain?
What more has God to do?
For many reasons man has died
Since God made heaven and earth
But lacking living seed inside
To wind the soil gives birth
There must be something else to gain
Before our lives deplete
So when God sends from Heaven rain
We’ll grow as golden wheat
The harvesters are drawing nigh
The fields are white as snow
What happens if today you die?
Where has your soul to go?
With Satan burn or Christ to reign
Death opens wide two gates
Its Heaven or hell, joy or pain
Eternity awaits
