Bonnie Collins - Rebirth of Nature's Wonder

2014-06-15 7

Crunching footsteps as we walk
with the aroma of autum in the
air, the sounds of honking geese
gathering off for thier jorney, bring
to mind of the colours that follow
the blanket of pumkins in a field
waiting to be someone's jack o lantern

Crisp air and the gracefully falling leaves
sort of makes our heart filled with much
meloncoly of yet the end of another warm season
that brought forth so many warm and sunny
memories

Now we must prepare for the long white
season that will follow, with all the coldness
turning our windows into a picture wonderland
of etches of ice spread in all directions

Leaving one season to another at times is
like saying goodby to an old and dear friend
one that has kept the sunshine within our hearts'
and alowed us to gracefully say goodby to the
lulibies of the green fields and to pave way to
the hues of its replacement into blankets
of white satin hills garnished with the promice
of yet another rebirth of nature's wonder......
