Love is like an ornament,
For if it is left neglected
It shall just gather dust
Upon the shelf.
Now and again
You pick it up,
And look at it
For a little while.
And as you hold it
Within your hands,
Try to ignore
All of its little imperfections.
For it is better to have it
Slightly damaged,
Rather than to be without it
Or broken into a thousand pieces.
Then you should dust it off
Until it shines once more,
And put it back upon display
For everyone to see.
