ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Stars

2014-06-14 1

I look upon the stars above
A vast array of symmetry,
That reaches to the great unknown
And far into infinity.

Their light that now so softly glows
Did shine from centuries before,
And only now has reached the earth
From what our great ancestors saw.

Such a work of great creation
Nurtured by God's loving hand,
Too far and wide for man to venture
Or to ever understand.

The wonders of the universe
Lie hidden in this darkened sky,
Awaiting there to be discovered
Until then its secrets lie.
