The Lights of Earth
The line is so transmutable
between the light and rain,
Between the sad and joyful,
Between that joy and pain,
The lights within our cerebrum
Flash on / off - now, again
As though they were December decorations
With still and hushed sensations
With a randomness that never can be known
so complex is our brain
And so the lights keep flashing
Until their charge
is charged no more
For we are the lights of Earth
That never were before,
