Do you ever wonder about windmills?
How they work and what they do
They are truly exciting I think
Designed for me and for you
They go way back into time
With features quite different from today
Many intricate parts they once had
They could have just been on display
For they are beautiful and charming
They stick out in a field of wheat
By a water barrel to water the cows
As they gather ‘round and meet
And the sound of a windmill whirring
Is so beautiful, don’t you think?
So soothing to the animals
As they come to the water to drink
And oh, against a lovely sunset sky
You see them way out yonder
They are part of what a farm should have
Those wonderful windmill wonders!
