It’s a little town in Oklahoma
Lookeba is the name
Like any other town except
It has a different kind of fame
For folks don’t pronounce it
The way it’s meant to be
So many ways to say it
Not always obvious, you see
But maybe it doesn’t matter
More important, I believe
When you drive around
So much history you receive
Old homesteads make me smile
Families raised their families
Grew a garden, had animals
A hammock between the trees
A lazy country town it is
Friendly when you pass through
Just getting by the best they can
Pretty much like me and you
So no matter how it’s pronounced
It will always be the same
A sweet little ‘ole country town
So really, what’s in a name?
